Make sure your alarm uses Random Encryption code remote controls like HAWK® HA-280 PRO using Microchip HCS301 processor, if remote control codes are not encrypted; anyone with cheap scanner from Maplin or Laptop with suitable software can grab your remote control key code and drive away without any key. Beware of fraudulent traders falsely claiming their alarm system is Random coded or contains millions of codes.

I have just finished installing the 280 pro on my van with great results .I found the ability to taylor it to my needs invaluable and all the extras i required on 1 site a refreshing change . I found the technical staff a pleasure to deal with .I would recommend the products and services to anyone who is in the market for an alarm .I will be fitting a Hawk alarm to my motorcycle next .

Baught my alarm, not from here, but ebay AGES ago, apart from a few issues with remote start (vw mk2 golf has weird ignition wiring) had it working for a while but had issues starting on key, but again, its the car wiring. Would like to have the option to have silent arm/disarm all the time, but this alarm is the real deal, for the price, you will not get anything like it that you can TRUST. Infact, if your smart with this unit, you can get it to perform many more functions than are listed.
