REMOTE CONTROLAlarm operated by two uniquely coded radio transmitters for convenient remote control of alarm and central locking (if fitted to the vehicle).
SECURE CODE LEARINGA convenient yet highly secure feature which permits the Hawk approved installer to quickly supply you with new replacement remotes or electronic keys whilst invalidating those lost or stolen.
RANDOM ENCRYPTIONThis is a technology whereby the coded signal transmitted by the remote control is scrambled thus preventing the use by thieves of so-called “code grabbers” and “scanners” from disarming your alarm.
VISUAL CONFIRMATIONWhen the alarm is controlled by remote the indicators on the car will flash confirming alarm status.
AUDIBLE CONFRIMATIONWhen the alarm is controlled by remote the siren “bleeps” confirming alarm status.
EARTH CONTACT DETECTION ULTRASONICDETECTIONOpening of passenger compartment doors- boot/hatch/bonnet triggers off the alarm, by permitting a switch to close ground. Protection of vehicle interior by sensors which pick up air movement inside the vehicle. This feature is selectable for venting purposes.
SHOCK SENSORSIf a severe impact is registered to a vehicle the alarm system will sound. Only applies to multiple sensor systems.
GLASS BREAKAGE DETECTORDetects vehicle windows being smashed.
MICROWAVE DETECTORDetects a mass entering the vehicle. More suitable than ultrasonics if an open cabriolet needs protection.
IMMOBLISATIONWhen the system is armed it inhibits driving by isolating engine circuits.
FAIL-SAFEEnsures immobiliser does not cut in whilst driving.
HAZARD LIGHTSWhen the alarm is triggered the indicators will flash in conjunction with the siren, giving a visual signal when sounding.
SIRENSAll systems incorporate a lower power high output sounder.
SELF POWERED SIRENSIf there is any interruption of power to the alarm (e.g. vehicle battery disconnection or cut wires) the rechargeable Ni-Cad batteries will take over and keep the siren sounding for up to 30 minutes.
PANIC FACILITYIn a personal attack situation depressing secondary button on the remote will sound the siren for 30 seconds (or until the secondary button is depressed again).
MODULAR SYSTEMWhere specific under bonnet features limit the space available for compact system an under dash (modular) system is recommended i.e. “brain” and siren mounted separately.
COMPACT SYSTEM“Brain” and siren combined for under bonnet (only) application.
INTERNAL SIRENA siren mounted inside the vehicle which will sound simultaneously with the siren under the bonnet. An extremely effective deterrent, keeping the thief out of the vehicle due to the high level of discomfort generated.
PASSIVE ARMINGOn leaving the vehicle should you forget to arm the system, a number of seconds after closing the last door/boot/hatch, the system will arm itself. Note the doors will not lock!
AUTO RE-ARMINGOn your return the vehicle if you disarm the system but do not open any door, boot/hatch within 30 seconds the alarm will automatically re-arm itself (and lock the doors where applicable). Useful if user is distracted or if “little fingers” play with the remote.
